Thank you for your interest in sharing your IgAN Warrior story on Capitol Hill. Despite the gridlock portrayed in the news media, Congress actually passes hundreds of bills every year. With your help, we can advance legislation that will help our IgAN family.

In a recent report
by the Congressional Management Foundation, 79% of congressional staffers indicated that they would find it helpful to hear a personal story from a constituent related to a bill or issue, but only 18% report they receive it frequently.

With your help, we can change that!

By investing one hour in watching these video lessons, you will be better equipped to effectively advocate for important issues that affect our IgAN family. The focused attention of a policymaker, or a congressional staffer, is precious. In fact, most meetings will only be 15 – 30 minutes so it’s important to make the most of every second. You will be better equipped to optimize that time after watching these videos.

Traveling to Capitol Hill may seem intimidating. That’s why we are offering you these videos to help demystify the experience. The videos will help refresh your memory on how Congress works and offer context for the meetings and the people who will be in them. Most importantly, the videos include helpful tips on how to share your story in the most impactful way for this audience.

Remember, when it comes to living with IgA Nephropathy, you are the expert!

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with them.

After you complete these videos, please take the survey to offer feedback.
