The CURA team enjoyed a great evening at the Arthritis Foundation’s 2019 Commitment to a Cure Gala on October 3, 2019, while making a positive impact on those living with arthritis. The event included a silent auction, a reception hosted by NBC4 anchor, Leon Harris, and a live auction to raise money and make a difference for over 1.1 million people in the DMV area affected by arthritis. Proceeds from the event support the mission of the Arthritis Foundation, including vital scientific research and access to life-saving treatments.
Arthritis is the number one cause of disability in the country. Every day the Foundation works towards finding a cure for this disease that affects over 50 million Americans—1 in every 5 adults and over 300,000 children—and the numbers keep growing. CURA is honored, therefore, to not only be involved in the Gala as a sponsor, but to be a long-time supporter of the organization. CURA Managing Director, Thy-Ann Nguyen, served on the Foundation’s Metro DC Local Leadership Board for over two years and also served on the planning committee for the Gala. The CURA team has also participated in two DC Jingle Bell Runs, a Walk to Cure Arthritis, and are now gearing up for the 2019 Jingle Bell Run, with Kellsie Brannen serving on this year’s planning committee.
CURA stands with the Arthritis Foundation as Champions of Yes!
