CURA Strategies is honored to be named a Top Place to Work in Public Relations by PRNEWS, a go-to source for PR and communications industry news for corporations, agencies and nonprofits.
Each year, PRNEWS shines a light on organizations creating workplace environments that epitomize work-life balance, give back to the community and advocate for diversity and inclusion. Companies are judged on growth opportunities for employees, communication, benefits, compensation, turnover, opportunities, office culture, working hours, career development and training, mentoring, diversity, gender equity, volunteerism and more.
CURA is one of 50 companies to receive this honor by PRNEWS in 2020. Other organizations honored this year as Top Places to Work in PR include large-scale global agencies like Porter Novelli, boutique firms like Seven Letter and household-name brands like Aflac.
A unique factor in the 2020 award was the COVID-19 pandemic, during which the balance of work, family and societal responsibilities has made the company-employee relationship especially critical. In this vein, CURA Strategies was specifically highlighted by PRNEWS for our response to rapid shifts in employee needs at the onset of the pandemic.
“CURA Strategies normally offers a monthly reimbursement for transportation,” PRNEWS said in a statement. “However, since everyone is working from home during the pandemic, the company switched to a monthly food stipend that employees can use to order lunches for themselves and others for weekly team virtual meetings.”
This is CURA’s third honor from PRNEWS. We received a 2019 Agency Elite Award for Media Relations Campaign of the Year for our work with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and our CEO Anne Woodbury was named one of PRNEWS’s 2019 Top Women in PR.
