CURA Strategies, an integrated health care communications and public affairs agency, announces the addition of Matthew Simmons, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs to the company’s leadership team. With over 30 years of experience, Matt brings a unique perspective to government relations that will advance CURA’s mission to transform health care.

From Capitol Hill to biotechnology research, Matt brings over three decades of diverse, dedicated government affairs experience to CURA. His knowledge of health care policy and skill in building impactful relationships with both government agencies and within Congress informs his creative strategies to deliver results and advance change.
Matt joins CURA from the laboratory and diagnostics sector where he has advised executive leadership teams on key policy and advocacy issues. He also recently served as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at Scipher Medicine, where he spearheaded efforts to secure coverage for the company’s initial test offering.
“My work in the clinical laboratory and diagnostics industry introduced me to CURA’s outstanding dedication to client service and inspiring government action,” said Matt Simmons. “I’m excited to expand CURA’s expert public affairs bench to bring additional prospects and broaden our client capabilities.”
Matt also spent more than 10 years at Millennium Health as their Senior Director of Government Affairs, where he led efforts involving federal agencies and built relationships with targeted congressional offices. He also directed operations at the National Coalition of Pharmaceutical Distributors as an Executive Director.
