As Vice President of Government Relations at CURA Strategies, Scott provides comprehensive public affairs and government relations services to clients including MDxHealth, CareDx, Honor the Gift, and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. Well-connected, passionate, and highly motivated, Scott’s commitment, specifically in the areas of heart disease and veteran health, earned him PR Week’s 2019 “Most Purposeful Agency Professional.”
Previously, Scott served as Director of Government Affairs at The Federal Group where he analyzed complex legislative and regulatory issues, monitored issues, conducted strategic planning and coalition building, and provided lobbying services for clients including, Mended Hearts, Inc., and the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association and American College of Nurse-Midwives. Earlier in his career, Scott served as a former health aide to Senator Dick Durbin, who is currently a member of Democratic Senate leadership.
Scott continues to be driven by his desire to make an impact on his community and the world through world-wide speaking engagements and getting results for his initiatives such as the organization he founded (FontanBloodPump.com). He also proudly presented at the “Advancing the Field Through Partnerships the Congenital Heart Patients and Families,” World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.
