CURA Strategies Walks to Support National Alliance on Mental Illness

Category: CURA CaresSeptember 28, 2019

The CURA team layered up and walked in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the NAMIWalks Iowa event on September 28, 2019. The CURA team, including Anne Woodbury, Casey Dillon, Sarah Sonies, Alex Dinkel and Erin Buckley, raised $475 to help NAMI meet their goal of $124,500.

NAMIWalks is one of the nation’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising events. They hold approximately 100 community walks each year. There is no cost to register, and the funds raised support individuals and families in the respective region of the event. In 2019 alone, they have hosted over 77,000 participants and raised over $11 million to support mental illness awareness and research.

NAMI Iowa is a chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, one of the nation’s leading organizations advocating for and supporting individuals and families living with mental illness.
